At the highest elevation of our property is the dog-friendly vacation rental we call the Tree Frog, and it’s favorite with many of our guests.  

Tree Frogs serenade the woods with their summer songs until late August. Your chances of seeing one aren’t very likely as they are capable of a swift color change, and, because of their rough skin, they are able to easily camouflage themselves on tree branches or bark. They are one of the many species of wildlife we enjoy in their natural habitat of our forest! (Visit the Forest Discover Center in the Pisgah National Forest to learn more about our native wildlife.)

Witness the majestic spectacle of the sun rising and setting over the Forest from the back deck, maybe even from the steamy serenity of the hot tub, while enveloped within the privacy of the trees.

The master suite has a queen-size Tempur-Pedic mattress, a flat screen television, plenty of storage space and a comfortable master bathroomwith a walk-in shower and a large vanity with a granite countertop.  

The second bedroom located downstairs has a queen-size, very comfortable gel-foam mattress, and across the hall there is a full bathroom with a tub and shower, as well as a granite-topped vanity.  

And don’t forget DogWoods Retreat’s signature, private and fenced-in yard that completes the dog-friendly vacation experience, providing free roaming for your canine companion(s) to explore!
